Hobby Work

I have had a great joy of being able to involve myself with a number of hobby spaces and activities over my life. From tabletop roleplaying games, to digital art, to archery, I have found that the creative space these environments make helps myself and others ideate better futures and possibilities.

Lab Art Night:

Toward the end of my PhD I was able to share my love of miniature painting with my lab mates. Below are some images of a few of these art nights where members of the lab got to experience painting tabletop miniature figures for the first time.

Kitbashing:

The artistic process of kitbashing is taking pieces from multiple sources and creating something wholly unique and new. This can be done in both the analogue and digital space. Below is a link to separate galleries for various kitbashing projects I’ve made over the years. (Click the images to see the full write-up/gallery for each project)

Miniature Painting:

I also paint various game pieces to instill in them a sense of character missing from them when they are simply plastic. Below is a gallery of some of my favorite pieces I’ve painted.

Digital Art:

Finally here is a collection of digital art works I create in my spare time. They range from photomashing together elements from my walks through the city, doodle sheets collected over the pandemic, and fantastic landscape scenes.
